Shadé Incorporated has formulated a wide variety of resin systems. Many of these systems have seen use in the domestic aerospace and defense industries, the commercial sector, and the European market.

SI-ATP-4 |
Cyanate Ester Resin
The SI-ATP-4 is a low viscosity, high temperature resin system developed for use in the filament winding process. The resin system has a fairly short pot life of 2 hours at 200°F.
A low viscosity resin is the key to obtaining a high quality void-free composite laminate when processes such as filament winding, resin transfer molding (RTM), and vacuum assisted resin transfer molding (VaRTM) are used. SI-ZG-5A (Boeing MMS-5301) is a unique blend of several oxirane-based resins to achieve a low viscosity matrix suitable for VaRTM, RTM, filament winding, or pultrusion. A prepolymer of these resins can also be made for prepreg suitable for autoclave curing.
SI-BMU-1
The SI-BMU-1 is a high temperature resin system developed for use in the resin transfer molding (RTM) and prepreg processes. The resin system has a fairly short pot
life of 6 hours at 200°F. The SI-BMU-1 is a unique resin system in the fact that it can be mixed as a 1-component system or a 2-component system depending on the final cure temperature. If the final cure is 600°F the 1-component system is acceptable; however, a cure temperature less than 600°F requires the 2-component system.
SI-BWG-1
The SI-BWG-1 is a low viscosity, high temperature resin system developed for use in the resin transfer molding (RTM) process. The resin system is processible at room temperature.

Ether Blend
The SI-SE-1 is a low viscosity resin system that was developed for use at cryogenic temperatures. Due to its short pot life, 3 hours at room temperature, resin transfer molding (RTM) is the best processing method for this resin system. This resin is a suitable for use in other processes, such as filament winding, vacuum assisted resin transfer molding (VaRTM) and others, as long as automated mixing equipment is used.
